Having trouble accepting the terms due to a checkbox glitch? Read this article: Checkbox to Accept Terms of Use / Privacy Notice Does Not Appear.
You must agree to RedShelf's Terms of Use and and Privacy Notice to create an account or access any digital content or materials. Together, these two agreements form RedShelf’s End User License Agreement (EULA).
The following outline is not a legal document. Please reference the full RedShelf Terms of Use should for more details.
Who can use RedShelf’s platforms and services?
To use RedShelf, you must be at least 18 years old or 13 years old and attending a school that partners with RedShelf for an Inclusive Access program.
If you’ve been suspended or removed from the RedShelf platform, you’re not eligible for use.
What rights do I have to access content?
You’re licensed to view online content for personal and educational use only. To some extent, you may be able to print and/or view content offline.
Unauthorized content use - including selling it, collecting data, or unlawful conduct - violates these terms.
What is RedShelf’s refund policy?
RedShelf's refund policy for Individual End Users does NOT apply to Inclusive Access. IA students instead receive "trial" access to the content when the term starts. During the add/drop period, students can opt in or opt out of their school's Inclusive Access program.
Inclusive Access Students should contact their institution about any refunds. If the add/drop date for an IA course has passed, the school has processed billing and might not be willing to give End User a full refund, if any.
What kind of copyright protection is in place?
All content on the RedShelf Platform is copyrighted, and any sort of copyright infringement on the platform is prohibited. Infringement may include:
-
Deletion of the copyright or other proprietary rights notices
-
Interference with the Digital Rights Management (DRM)
-
Plagiarization of any author
The copyright protects your and any other user’s work and content.
RedShelf is only a content distributor and does not own any content. Thus, RedShelf can’t be held responsible for any content material.
What kind of acceptable use does RedShelf expect of me?
RedShelf owns and operates RedShelf’s platform, and you agree to:
-
Respect RedShelf’s intellectual property rights
-
Not damage the operation, name, or reputation of RedShelf and its affiliates, partners, and publishers
-
Not reverse engineer or distort any software
-
Not use the RedShelf platform for any illegal activity
What if I violate these terms of use?
RedShelf has the right to suspend use, terminate accounts, or pursue legal action if you violate these terms.
What can I expect from RedShelf?
We do everything we can to provide excellent services for you. However, we’re not responsible for any interruptions or errors. Our Customer Experience Team will find the best solutions for any individual problems or complaints.
Can I delete my RedShelf account?
You can opt out of your school's IA program (or choose not to opt-in, depending on your specific program).
Like any RedShelf user, you can always unsubscribe from our platform. Once you’ve unsubscribed, your school may still share your information with RedShelf at a later date through another IA course or program.
