View all required course materials available through RedShelf
The course materials view appears after clicking the course tile from the main MyShelf page. You will see a clear distinction between materials you already own, and what is available to acquire.
Opt in/out of Inclusive Access materials
The process of opting in or out of a required material for an Inclusive Access course is clear and easy. Simply click the opting link on the material overview page. If you have opted out of a material and wish to re-acquire after the opt-out deadline, add it to your cart for purchase directly from your MyShelf.
Purchase additional materials
You may easily acquire new materials through MyShelf. If a material appears under “AVAILABLE TO ACQUIRE” in a course view, click “ADD TO CART” to purchase it.
Access publisher courseware environments
If your course requires access to publisher courseware, a link will appear in the Product Details page under “COURSEWARE.” Once you click the link on the right, you will either be able to access the publisher courseware environment using the “ACCESS COURSEWARE” button, or by following the publisher instructions that appear.
Organize and access materials
You may organize the materials on MyShelf by filtering according to product type and sorting by purchase date and alphabetical order.
Extend material expiration dates
MyShelf separates active materials that have already been acquired for a previous course from materials that still need to be acquired.
If a continuation course requires a material you have already acquired, it will remain on your MyShelf through its original expiration date. After the expiration date, the material will appear under Available to Acquire.
Likewise, you have the option to extend the availability of any material within 7 days of its expiration date through the repurchase option.
