Additionally, Inclusive Access students should contact their institution about any refunds regardless of usage or first access. If the add/drop date for your course has already passed, your institution might not be able to process a full or partial refund.
How to Refund Your Purchase
If you want to refund your RedShelf.com purchase, you can do it yourself!
Finding Your Order Number
To refund your purchase, you need your order number. You can find your order number on the subject line of your purchase receipt.
Navigate to your account on RedShelf.com and select My Account. Next, click on Order History located in the top right corner of your screen. A list of all your purchases will appear:
Refunding Your Purchase
Select the highlighted order number or + icon to open a drop-down box.
Click the blue refund button that appears on the left.
When you select Refund, a pop up box asks you to confirm you want to refund your purchase. If you do, click Confirm Refund.
That's it! Your book has been refunded. Check the drop-down box to see your order's status change to "Refunded."
RedShelf also sends a confirmation email to confirm the refund with you. To find that email, check your email connected with your RedShelf account.
RedShelf purchases are only refundable if they fall within RedShelf's refund policy. If the books are outside RedShelf's refund policy, the drop-down will appear red. The refund button will also be grayed out.
eBooks are refundable within 14 days of the first day of access, or 30 days after the purchase is made, whichever occurs first. Additionally, RedShelf cannot fulfill refund requests if more than 10% of the product has been viewed or if any page(s) of the content has been printed.
Print Materials (Including Print-On-Demand)
Print materials, including print-on-demand products, are non-refundable.
Physical items returned within 7 days of your course start date are eligible for refund, minus the cost of shipping.
Publisher Access Codes
McGraw Hill: Refunds for McGraw Hill access codes are permitted if requested within fourteen 14 days of purchase.
Cengage: Refunds for Cengage access codes are permitted if requested within 14 days of purchase.
