California’s AB 2426 is a consumer protection law designed to ensure transparency when purchasing digital goods. Effective January 1, 2025, this legislation requires companies selling digital products to clearly inform consumers if they are receiving a license to access the content rather than owning the content outright.
To comply with this law, we have updated our website and policies to provide clear and transparent messaging regarding the licensing of digital goods. Below is an overview of our practices under the new regulation. These updates apply to all digital course materials purchased through RedShelf and its affiliates.
We have chosen to implement these changes universally across our website, ensuring that this important information is accessible to all our users, regardless of their location, not just those residing in California.
