RedShelf Bookstore equips partner stores with an online and in-store content delivery system! It allows them to distribute digital materials at a range of purchasing options. It is a different model and student access pathway from RedShelf Inclusive.
How do students buy RedShelf products in the bookstore?
In RedShelf Inclusive Access (IA), students have access to materials on the first day of class. In the RedShelf Bookstore model, there are two methods for in-store purchasing:
-
Online: Campus-Branded White Labels / RedShelf.com:
- Students purchase at their campus bookstore branded website or via RedShelf.com.
-
In-store: Point-of-Sale (POS) System:
- Students purchase access by one of the following methods, depending on the store:
- Purchasing a redemption code via the POS
- Taking a shelf card (floor layout)
- A store employee providing a shelf card (counter service)
- Students purchase access by one of the following methods, depending on the store:
What happens after a student purchases their product?
- The student's redemption code or link is printed on a receipt or emailed depending on the POS.
- This experience is identical whether it is an eBook or a courseware product.
Where is the student's content hosted?
- eBooks live within the RedShelf account or the school's Learning Management System (LMS).
- Publisher courseware lives within the publisher's account or the school’s LMS.
What are the student purchase and access pathways?
The way students purchase and access content vary depending on the store's POS. You may view and share walk-throughs of the customer journey overall and by POS:
