This error occurs when a product's pricing or some other bit of transactional metadata has changed, but your POS has not yet been updated. Since RedShelf cannot fulfill an order that does not match our nightly catalogue file of publisher changes, any transaction attempted with old data will result in a BasketID Error.
If this happens in store, direct the student to this form on RedShelf Solve: Bookstore receipt says "BasketID Error". We will manually fulfill the order - don't worry, neither you or the student will be charged twice.
Unless the product is updated, however, your store will continue to generate BasketID Errors.
To fix (if on auto-adopt):
- go to WebPrism > Textbooks > Digital Content > Change History
- obtain a report of all the changes that have occurred specific to your adoptions
- run matched adoptions
If you are not on auto-adopt and need support, please reach out to our Support Team and support@prismrbs.com to obtain accurate new pricing info. These are bookstore-facing teams only, so do not use these for student requests -- students can request support through Solve directly.
