RedShelf is proud of the mutually beneficial relationships that we share with institutions and publishers. We collaborate closely with our partners to provide the most optimized materials possible (for example, with enhanced text and image alternatives and markup).
While RedShelf's eReader ingests both PDF and EPUB, we encourage our campus partners to request and adopt the EPUB version of course materials whenever possible. If the EPUB is only available in a newer edition, consider discussing this with faculty during the adoption period. An EPUB is "born accessible", meaning its created with accessibility in mind, and is more compatible with assistive technologies for students with disabilities.
Upon request, RedShelf will collaborate with publishers and campus accessibility offices to provide an accessible solution for students. In cases where individual help is necessary, RedShelf's dedicated, onsite accessibility team can provide one-on-one support to students and faculty.
