The following terms are commonly used with regard to Inclusive Access programs.
- Courseware: Material that students access on the publisher's site (with or without an access code)
- eBook: Material that students access on the RedShelf eReader
- Coded Product: Material that students access with a code on the publisher's site
- Codeless Product: Material that students access on the publisher's site without using an access code
- Continuation Course: A course that is part of a required sequence, including the first course in the sequence (the materials fee structure for continuation courses varies)
- Duration: Length of time, in days, that students pay to access material
