How do I get pricing information from the publisher for my materials in Course Manager?
From the materials tab of the Course Manager dashboard, you can request material pricing individually or in bulk. Click the “request pricing” button on the material card to individually request pricing. To request pricing in bulk, use your bulk action bar to request pricing for all of the materials in your filter set.
What happens to my request when I click “request pricing?”
The system will automatically route your request based on the information you provided about the material. This request lands in a publisher’s work queue to review and fulfill.
How do I know when a publisher fulfills my pricing request?
As soon as a publisher fulfills a request, the material will display on your Course Manager dashboard with the status “Ready to Accept.” Additionally, once per day, you’ll receive an automated email notifying you of any requests the publisher completed. From the email, you can jump to Course Manager to take action on the offers.
Can I turn off or adjust the frequency of the automated email notifications?
Not at this time. In the future, we will add functionality to customize the frequency of email notifications.
What actions can I take on the price offering from the publisher?
The actions you can take in Course Manager on a material depend on the actions the publisher took when fulfilling your request. If a publisher is unable to fulfill your request (see “what do the material statuses mean?” above), you can:
- Edit details about the material and re-start the pricing request process
- Remove the material from the section
If a publisher is able to fulfill your request, you can either dispute the offer or enter your margin or intended price to student and accept the offer. You can view the details of the offer on the material card.
How do I dispute an offer?
If the price offering fulfilled by the publisher is not what you expect, you can click “reject” on the material card. When you reject the offer, you are required to enter a reason. This message will route back to the publisher so they can see why you’ve disputed the offer and take the next appropriate action.
Do I have to dispute price offers for materials one at a time?
Nope! You can use your bulk action bar to reject pricing for multiple materials at a time. At this time, to use the “bulk reject” action, all offers must be from the same publisher. You can only enter one reason for rejection using bulk actions.
