Registering as a First-Time User
You should receive an initial welcome email from your bookstore manager and RedShelf which will include a single sign-on link for RedShelf Adopt. Clicking that link opens a webpage that will prompt you to create your account and set your login credentials.
Select Courses + Sections
View your courses and sections on the left-side menu. Select the corresponding term from the initial drop-down and then select a course from the tree view to see the sections for the selected course along with their current adoption statuses.
Search & Submit New Adoptions
After selecting the course and section for which you’d like to submit adoptions, you will see options to the right to “Add Book” or “Add Other Item”. Clicking either button will load two search options: (1) the search field and (2) the manual input form. The search field will return a list of the most relevant results according to your query and the manual input form will require you to input the title and author. You will also be prompted to indicate whether the material is mandatory or optional and if it’s an eBook or courseware product. Additionally you will be required to enter your estimated enrollment above your adoptions.
Modify Existing Adoptions
To modify current adoptions prior to the due date, select the course and section to display the materials presently adopted for the term. Select the “Edit” button in the lower right-hand corner, make the desired changes, and proceed to “Save Material”.
Re-submit Previous Term Adoptions
If you’ve submitted adoptions for previous terms, your bookstore manager will email you prior to the due date with a one-click adopt option so you can re-submit the same adoptions.
Contact Your Bookstore
Additional Details For Specific Adoption
When submitting new adoptions or modifying open ones, you have the option to attach notes to your adoptions and inform your bookstore manager of any additional relevant details or specific requests.
